Transfer workspace ownership before deleting your account

Every shared workspace with members needs an active owner. If you are its only owner, BetterSongbook prevents account deletion until you transfer ownership or remove the other members.

Promote another member to owner

1. Open Account.
2. Open Members for the shared workspace.
3. Select Edit for an active member you trust to manage the workspace.
4. Change the member's role to Owner.
5. Save the change.

Repeat these steps for each shared workspace where you are the only owner.

Alternative: remove the remaining members

If the workspace should not continue, remove its other active and suspended members. Shared songs and setlists remain in the workspace while members remain, so review the workspace before removing access.

Try account deletion again

After another active owner has been assigned—or all other members have been removed—return to Account, select Delete account, and complete the confirmation process.

Deleting your account removes your personal workspace and personal data. Content shared with workspaces that still have members remains available to them.
