Delete your BetterSongbook account

You can permanently delete your account from BetterSongbook. Account deletion cannot be undone.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Account.
2. Select Delete account.
3. Review the explanation of what will be removed and what may remain.
4. Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
5. Select Delete account to confirm.

After the request succeeds, BetterSongbook signs you out on that device.

What is deleted

Account deletion removes:

• your sign-in and profile;
• your personal workspace, including its songs, revisions, setlists, and items;
• your private annotations and reader preferences;
• pending synchronization records associated with your account; and
• beta feedback and diagnostic reports you submitted.

If you are the only member of an empty shared workspace, that workspace may also be removed.

What may remain

Content in a shared workspace remains available to its other members. Historical creator and editor identifiers may remain in a pseudonymous form so existing songs, setlists, and performance records continue to work, but they no longer link to your profile.

Limited records may also be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Downloaded data may remain in local application storage on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.

If account deletion is blocked

You cannot delete your account while you are the only owner of a shared workspace that still has other members. First transfer ownership to another active member or remove the remaining members, then try again.

If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app installed, visit bettersongbook.com/privacy to request account deletion.
