Import and export ChordPro files
BetterSongbook can import existing ChordPro files and export song source without reformatting it.
Import a ChordPro file
- Open Songs.
- Select the + button labelled Create or import song.
- In the song editor, select Import ChordPro.
- Choose a
.choor.profile from your device. - Check the imported source and live preview.
- Enter a Title and Artist if they are missing.
- Select Publish to library.
If the file contains formatting problems, BetterSongbook displays Parser issues with line and column details. Recoverable content remains available, and the original source can still be saved.
Export a song
- Open the song's actions menu from Songs and select Edit.
- Select Export ChordPro.
- Choose where to save or share the
.chofile.
The exported file preserves the stored ChordPro source rather than rewriting its formatting.
